Welcome to the forum! I'm hoping to build this into place for people to chat, vent, ask questions, advice, or pretty much anything else - so long as it is kept clean.
Naturally, being a writer, all manner of writing related topics will be up for grabs, from novels to short fiction to poems - whatever works. I hope to make this forum a good place to meet folks, network, and generally have a good time.
So welcome, and enjoy!

Glad to join , must say I agree with you about the Bush administration. It is time for change. He has cost too much blood to flow and depleted our treasury. Love all your books, too. Dad

Hey Bud, Dad told me about the updates to your site. Sorry it's taken so long to get up to date with it. It just took a while to get back into the swing of things after our trip. May I suggest (if you havent' done so already) that you send out a mass email to family and friends announcing your site etc? If you need email addresses let me know. I know Ian loved your first book and I bet he'd be interested in your site too.
Love Becky

I have a few things on my mind. First, sorrow about the shooting in Va. Second ,our red sox and how nice it is they are hitting now. Third ,politics, our (king george) President Bush, and how he has trampled all over the constitution. Over and over he has gone his way and not the right way, the last time was when he made the appointment to ambasidor to Belgium during the Senate break. The con. says he can do that if the opening occurs during that recess, it did not. He withdrew the nomination after finding out he didn't have the votes to confirm , waited for the recess and appointed the guy. To me that was the last straw, too many times he has trampled the constitution. I hope the House and Senate hold on to the time limits on the budget. Thanks for the chance to vent. Mike

A true pity about the Virginia Tech killings. No one should suffer just because one guy has no friends, or is grumpy with someone else, or mad at the world, or whatever his issue was that led him to such a heinous end. I'll never understand why people feel the need to do such things. I hope, however, that people will look for the cause - was he mentally unstable? prone to depressions? - and not just cast blame on whatever the nearest target is, e.g. violent video games. There must be some cause to his act, and finding the true cause, rather than a convenient excuse, could prevent stuff like this in the future. As for our president - I can't wait until he's out of office. Stay the course. Stay the course. How many times to do we haveto hear that, and "We have a plan" yet we see no improvements in Iraq and get no 'plan' that's any different than what has already been done. Continued or even escalated military presence a) just gets more of our good people killed and b) doesn't do any good. Until Bush sees things from the perspective of the people whose country we invaded, and gets back some of our international credibility, nothing will change. In other words, until Bush is out of office, nothing will change. That, along with the senseless Virginia Tech killings, is sad. But to leave off on a happy note - Go Sox! They're doing well so far. Hopefully they can keep it up.

agreed about VT, did anyone watch how well their lacrosse team performed? it was astounding! Also about the Bush administration, although I'm no politician and can't actually judge with any certainty the actions of any particullar administration. Sure would have liked to see some weapons of mass destruction after all of that, though (Not that i'd really like to see them exist, I just wish that justification was really justification). Anyways, haven't read yet, but am really looking forward to it. i've visited the site, and signed the guestbook, but how do youfind the character name pronunciation guide? Doing a google search about Seth Kerin led me to the fact that one may exist, but for the life of me, I can't find out how to actually pronounce Drittz! I studied a lil linguistics in my day, so i have an opinion on how to pronounce just about everything, but i'm quite often wrong. I'd really like to find out. Help me out if you can, Mike

Mike,
The pronunciation guide is now located on the "Creative" page, which is on the left of the main rev-co.net page. It covers the pronunciation of characters in my own works, not others, although having met R.A. Salvatore (and gotten a couple books signed by him) I can tell you that Drizzt is pronounced "Drist." He said that was one of his most commonly asked questions, and in part was my reasoning for giving my own pronunciation for my characters.
It's also fun (if not helpful) to put the names through the standard Windows narrator program. Definitely potential for amusement there.
